News for April 5

Stay Connected

We want to make sure that we are doing our part in flattening the curve during the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve seen some posts on social media and have heard of people desiring to meet in the Northwoods parking lot and listen to the message from their cars. While we love the enthusiasm, we’ve been advised by local authorities that gatherings like this do not adhere to government guidelines. We’re asking you to partner with us by refraining from gathering in groups on our campuses, including in the parking lot, on the playground, etc.

But! That doesn't mean that there aren't other ways that we can stay connected. Keep reading to find out how you can stay involved at Northwoods Online!

KO! Claim Your Victory!

Through his death and resurrection, Jesus Christ won a decisive victory over sin, hell, and the grave. Easter weekend literally was a devastating knock-out blow against the evil one and all the forces of darkness. As a result, victory now belongs to every believer, but we still have to go and claim it!

Join us for this new series starting on Easter Sunday, and let’s learn how to win against common and bothersome opponents. Strap on the gloves and go claim your victory!

Give Your Vital $20

We've partnered with local vendors to make free coffee and ice cream available to healthcare workers who are working on the frontlines. Healthcare workers can show their IDs and get freebies at

  • The Spotted Cow in Peoria
  • CXT Coffee in Peoria
  • Orange Cup Java Station in Galesburg
  • The Coffee Hub in Lacon
  • Black Maple Coffee in Canton.

We are also partnering with the Dream Center to collect and distribute non-perishable food items and toiletries to those in need. This donations list displays the items we need. Drop off hours are Tuesday–Friday from 11am–3pm at the Peoria Campus.

Additionally, the Galesburg Campus and Re:New Thrift Store have partnered with Box Car Express to provide lunches to families in need. Pick up is available Monday–Saturday from 11:30am–1pm.

Your $20 Vital 20 gift directly supports these projects.
