Baptism Weekend
August 24-25
If you or someone you know has recently said “Yes!” to Jesus, now is the perfect time to declare your decision and get baptized!
Goodbye, Boz
September 1
Healing Place
September 6
You’re invited to an experience-driven service with extended worship and healing prayer. We will call on God’s power for personal needs and needs among those around us. The Healing Place is all about the people of the church ministering to each other!
On-Campus Group Study: Book of Esther
Starts September 5
On Campus Groups at Northwoods are a great way for you to plug into community and grow in your spiritual journey. The Book of Esther is a true story—a historical narrative. But more than that, it’s one of the greatest historical political espionage adventure thrillers ever written! There is no direct reference to God in the book, and that is what makes the Book of Esther very much like our lives. We don’t usually see the clear, visible hand of God at work on our behalf. But if we will look closely, we will find that His hand is very clearly detectable in the various circumstances of our lives—bringing about His good purposes for us.
Changes to Four Steps
Due to the great turnout of our online Four Steps classes, we are now encouraging those who are interested in becoming members to take the Four Steps online. All of the Four Steps classes will still be offered on our Peoria campus on a semester basis, so continue to look at our event calendar on the website for more information on when those will be offered.
Legacy Five
September 22
Gospel favorites Legacy Five returns to Northwoods Church. Tickets available online and at the church office. $12 in advance. $17 at the door.
